INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.

1. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

2. INSTALL ROOF WIRE

(a) Install the roof wire onto the roof headlining assembly with 10 new pieces of tape.





NOTICE:
* Apply the tape securely in place.
* Do not touch the adhesive surface when applying the tape to prevent adhesion failure.

3. INSTALL REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER RH

(a) Install the 2 double-sided tapes.

(b) Align the rear side rail spacer with the markings on the roof headlining assembly to install it onto the roof headlining assembly.

4. INSTALL REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

5. INSTALL REAR ROOF SILENCER PAD

(a) Install the double-sided tape.

(b) Align the rear roof silencer pad with the markings of the roof headlining assembly to install them onto the roof headlining assembly.

6. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Pull the roof headlining assembly back into the vehicle through the back door.





(b) Install the clip.

(c) Engage the 5 clamps.

(d) Connect the roof wire connector.

(e) Engage the 3 clamps.

(f) Connect the antenna cord connector.

7. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER Installation

10. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Installation

14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connectors.

(b) Engage the 4 claws to install the map light assembly.





16. INSTALL ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the room light switch base.





(b) Install the roof wire into the claw on the room light.

(c) Engage the 4 claws to install the room light.





(d) Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 room light covers.





(e) Engage the 4 claws to install the room light lens.





17. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER RH

(a) Engage the 2 claws.





(b) Push in the visor holder as shown in the illustration.

18. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

19. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Engage the 2 springs to install the visor assembly.

(b) Install the visor shaft into the visor holder.

(c) Engage the 4 claws to install a new visor bracket cover.





20. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

21. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP

HINT
Use the same procedure to install all assist grips.

(a) Engage the 2 springs to install the assist grip.

(b) Engage the 2 claws to install the assist grip covers.





22. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

(a) Remove the piece of cloth or nylon.

(b) Make sure that the clip A is not damaged.

NOTICE:
* If there is any damage, replace the clip A with a new one.
* When a clip A is being replaced, make sure to install it in the direction shown in the illustration.

(c) Engage the claw and guide.

(d) Turn the end of the clip A 90° with needle-nosed pliers to install it to the front pillar garnish.

HINT
Tape the needle-nosed pliers tip before use.

(e) Engage the 2 clips to install the front pillar garnish.

(a) Engage the 2 clips and the guide to install the center pillar upper garnish.

(a) Engage the 2 clips and the 4 claws to install the center pillar lower garnish.

27. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH

28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the front seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

30. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP

HINT
Use the same procedure for both sides.

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the seat belt anchor cover cap.

31. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Pass the rear seat outer belt assembly through the slit in the roof side inner garnish assembly.

(b) Engage the 5 clips and the 2 claws to install the roof side inner garnish assembly.

(c) Install the clip.

32. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

33. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Engage the 4 clips, the 7 claws and the screw to install the deck trim side panel assembly.

34. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the luggage compartment light connector.

(b) Engage the 4 clips, the 7 claws and the screw to install the deck trim side panel assembly.

35. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the floor anchor to engage the 2 claws.

(b) Install the bolt.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Install the rear seat outer belt assembly into the rear seat shoulder belt hunger.

36. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

37. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedure for both sides.

(a) Install the luggage hold belt striker assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

38. INSTALL REAR DECK TRIM COVER

(a) Engage the 2 clips and the 4 claws to install the rear deck trim cover.

39. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Align the paint mark on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip and the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, to install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

(a) Engage the 6 claws to install the rear door scuff plate.

(a) Align the paint mark on the front door opening trim weatherstrip and the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, to install the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

(a) Engage the 3 claws and the 2 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

49. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

(a) Engage the 8 claws to install the front door scuff plate.

50. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Install the deck board assembly.

57. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

58. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

Diagnosis System
