WINDOW / GLASS: QUARTER WINDOW GLASS: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure described below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS

(a) Apply protective tape to the outer circumference of the quarter window, as shown in the illustration.

(b) From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and quarter window, as shown in the illustration.

(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends.

NOTICE:
When separating the quarter window from the vehicle, do not damage the vehicle's paintwork or exterior/interior ornaments.

(d) Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the quarter window.

3. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS SPACER

(a) Using a scraper, remove the 2 quarter window glass spacers.

CAUTION:
* Be careful not to damage the side window.
* Be sure to replace the 2 quarter window glass spacers with new one.
4. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE WINDOW CLIP

(a) Using a scraper, remove the side window clip.

CAUTION:
* Be careful not to damage the side window.
* Be sure to replace the side window clip with new one.
5. REMOVE NO. 4 SIDE WINDOW CLIP

Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 side window clip.
