- Front Passenger Side Power Window Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch
DESCRIPTION
If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:
* The ECU in the power window regulator motor determines that the power window regulator motor has not been initialized.
* The power window regulator switch has a malfunction.
* The Hall IC in the power window regulator motor has a malfunction.
* The wiring between the power window regulator switch and the power window regulator motor is open or short.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- GO TO DTC (B2311) B2311
C -- GO TO DTC (B2312) B2312
D -- GO TO DTC (B2313) B2313
E -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LIN Communication System
A -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
(a) Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator switch can operate the front passenger side door power window Operation Check.
OK:
Manual UP/DOWN function operates.
NG -- GO TO FLOW CHART (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT) Front Passenger Side Power Window Does Not Operate With Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (P-DOOR MOTOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body / P-Door Motor / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
P-Door Motor
OK:
The Techstream display changes when front passenger side power window switch is operated.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR)
OK -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Disassembly
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR)
(a) Disconnect the E2 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the E4 front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
(e) Reconnect the power window regulator switch assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the power window regulator switch assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(c) Reinstall the power window regulator switch assembly.
