Disassembly

K41B CVT: SHIFT LEVER: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the shift lock control ECU from the shift lever.





(b) Separate the shift lock solenoid connector from the shift lock control ECU.





2. REMOVE UPPER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

(a) Disengage the clamps and separate the transmission control switch connector from the shift lever.

(b) Disengage the 7 clamps and separate the position indicator light wire from the shift lever.

(c) Using a precision screwdriver, pull out terminals 7 and 14 from the transmission control switch connector.

(d) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing upper from the shift lever.





3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT GUIDE

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator light guide from the position indicator housing upper.





(b) Remove the position indicator light wire from the position indicator light guide.





(c) Remove the position indicator light cap from the position indicator light bulb.

(d) Remove the position indicator light bulb from the position indicator light wire.

4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER CAP

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the shift lever cap from the position indicator housing.





5. REMOVE CONTROL POSITION INDICATOR PLATE

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the position indicator plate from the position indicator housing.





6. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

(a) Remove the position indicator slide cover from the shift lever.





7. REMOVE NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

(a) Remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.





8. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

(a) Using a small screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing lower from the shift lever.
