SRS Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle not Involved in Collision)





(a) Perform a diagnostic system check Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) With the seat cushion airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects, such as those mentioned below, replace the seat cushion airbag assembly with a new one:

* Any cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the seat cushion airbag assembly.

2. INSPECT SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag has not Deployed)





CAUTION:
Seat cushion airbag assembly removal and installation procedures, see pages Removal and Reassembly, and carefully follow the correct procedure.

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) With the seat cushion airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects, such as those mentioned below, replace the seat cushion airbag assembly with a new one:

* Any cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the seat cushion airbag assembly.

* Any cracks or other damage to the wire harness or connector.
