1NR-FE FUEL: FUEL PUMP: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FUEL PUMP HARNESS





NOTICE:
Do not disconnect the tube shown in the illustration.

(a) Disconnect the 2 fuel pump harness connectors and remove the fuel pump harness.





NOTICE:
Do not damage the wire harness.

2. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 fuel suction support.

3. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the pressure regulator from the fuel suction plate.

NOTICE:
Slowly pull out the fuel pressure regulator assembly, because the O-ring is firmly installed between the fuel suction plate and the fuel pressure regulator.

(b) Remove the 2 O-rings from the pressure regulator.





4. REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel pump filter.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the fuel pump.





5. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the fuel pump.

(c) Remove the O-ring from the fuel suction plate.





(d) Remove the fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.





(e) Disengage the claw.





(f) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the jet pump from the fuel pump.

(g) Remove the O-ring from the jet pump.





6. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL TANK CUSHION

(a) Remove the No. 2 fuel tank cushion.
