Meter / Gauge System





METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU

1. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the D1 combination meter assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

(c) Reconnect the D1 combination meter assembly connector.

(d) Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.





* *1: w/ Engine Immobiliser System

If the result is not as specified, the combination meter assembly may have a malfunction.

(1) Waveform 1: Using an oscilloscope









HINT
As the vehicle speed increases, the cycle of the signal waveform narrows.

2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU AND INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the main body ECU.

(b) Disconnect the D42 main body ECU connector.

(c) Disconnect the 3A and 3E instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(d) Measure the resistance and voltage between each terminal of the wire harness side connectors and body ground.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(e) Reinstall the main body ECU.

(f) Reconnect the main body ECU connectors.

(g) Measure the voltage between each terminal of the wire harness side connectors and body ground.





If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.
