1. REPLACE RING PIN
HINT
It is not necessary to remove the ring pins unless they are being replaced.
(a) Remove the ring pins from the camshaft housing.
(1) Using a plastic hammer, tap in new ring pins to the specified protrusion height.

2.7 to 3.3 mm (0.106 to 0.130 in.)
(b) Remove the ring pins from the oil pan sub-assembly.
(1) Using a plastic hammer, tap in new ring pins to the specified protrusion height.

2.3 to 3.3 mm (0.091 to 0.130 in.)
2. REPLACE STRAIGHT PIN
HINT
It is not necessary to remove the straight pins unless they are being replaced.
(a) Remove the straight pins from the oil pan.
(b) Using a plastic hammer, tap in the straight pins to the specified protrusion height.
