SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

CAUTION:
* Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.
* If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat assembly with a new one.
NOTICE:
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disengage the front seat wire clamp.

(b) Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

(1) Push the slider with a finger to disengage the first claw. Without releasing your finger, slide the slider to disengage the second claw and disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

(c) Disconnect the front seat cushion airbag connector.

(1) Place a finger on the slider, slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the front seat cushion airbag connector.

(d) Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

(e) w/ Vertical Adjuster:

(1) Lift up the seat track adjusting handle.

(f) Move the seat to the foremost position.

(g) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





(h) Move the seat to the rearmost position.

(i) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

(j) Remove the front seat assembly LH.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disengage the front seat wire clamp.

(b) Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

(1) Push the slider with a finger to disengage the first claw. Without releasing your finger, slide the slider to disengage the second claw and disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

(c) Disconnect the front seat cushion airbag connector.

(1) Place a finger on the slider, slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the front seat cushion airbag connector.

(d) Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

(e) Move the seat to the foremost position.

(f) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.





(g) Move the seat to the rearmost position.

(h) Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

(i) Remove the front seat assembly RH.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
