SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. INSTALL SEATBACK FELT

(a) Install a new seatback felt as shown in the illustration.





2. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK WITH COVER PAD

(a) Install the front seatback with cover pad.





(b) Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
* For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
* Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.

(c) Fasten the 2 zippers.





(d) Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.
* When installing hog rings, minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the 9 hooks and install the front seat cushion with cover pad.





(b) Install the front seatback with the 5 bolts.





Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) Engage the 2 hooks.





(d) Engage the 6 clamps and install the front seat side airbag wire harness and front seat cushion airbag wire harness.





4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Temporarily install the front seat cushion with cover pad.

(b) for Driver Side:

(1) Install the front seatback with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(c) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Install the front seatback with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

(2) Install the E-ring.

(d) Install the cushion cover band to the seat cushion frame.





(e) Install the 4 clips.

(f) for Driver Side:

(1) Install the front seatback cover band and 2 cushion bands.





(2) Engage the 4 clamps and install the front seat side airbag wire harness and front seat cushion airbag wire harness.





5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the 2 hooks and install the front seat cushion wire.





(b) Tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)

(c) Install the 2 cushion bands.





6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the 6 clamps and install the front seat wire RH.





(b) Connect the 4 occupant classification sensor connectors.

(c) Engage the 4 clamps and install the front seat side airbag wire harness.





(d) Engage the 2clamps and install the seat cushion airbag wire harness.





7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the guide and install the front No. 2 seat cushion protector.





(b) Tighten the screw.

8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage the guide and install the front seat cushion protector.





(b) Tighten the screw.

9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the 3 claws and install the front seat cushion lower shield LH.





(b) Install the clip.

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the 2 guides and install the reclining adjuster cover LH.





12. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the 5 claws and install the front seat cushion shield LH.





(b) Tighten the screw.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the 2 claws and clip, install the front seat cushion shield LH.





(b) Tighten the 2 screws.

(c) Engage the hook.





(d) Install the clip.

15. INSTALL SEAT TRACK LOCK OPEN LEVER LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Install the snap ring to the seat track lock open lever LH, and install them onto the seat track hinge pin.





16. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Install the snap ring to the reclining adjuster release handle LH, and install them onto the reclining hinge pin.





17. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Install the vertical adjusting handle.





(b) Tighten the screw.

18. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.





19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT INNER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster) Installation

20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT INNER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster) Installation

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT INNER ASSEMBLY RH Installation

22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Install the seat adjuster cover cap.





(2) Engage the 5 claws and install the front seat cushion inner shield LH.





(3) Tighten the screw.

(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Engage the 5 claws and install the front seat cushion inner shield RH.





(2) Tighten the screw.

(3) Install the snap ring to the reclining adjuster release handle RH, and install them onto the reclining hinge pin.





23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

(a) Engage the 2 claws and clip, and install the front seat cushion inner shield LH.





(b) Tighten the screw.

(c) Engage the hook.





(d) Install the clip.
