DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE

(a) Install the front door inside locking cable.

(b) Engage the 3 claws and close the cover.





2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE

(a) Install the front door lock remote control cable.

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
* If reusing the door lock that has been removed, replace the connector seal with a new seal.
* Make sure that no grease or dirt adheres to the connector seal surface.
* Reusing the connector seal or using a damaged connector seal may cause water intrusion to the connection. This may result in a malfunction of the front door lock.

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door lock.

(b) Install a new door lock wire harness seal to the front door lock.

(c) Insert the front door lock open rod to the front door lock.

(d) Make sure that the front door lock open rod is securely connected to the front door lock.

(e) Apply adhesive to the threads of the screws.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or the equivalent.

(f) Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, install the front door lock assembly with the 3 screws.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Driver Side) Reassembly

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRAME REAR LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY Reassembly

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Reassembly

7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Reassembly

8. INSTALL DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER Reassembly

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL Reassembly

10. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL Reassembly

11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH Reassembly
