How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





DOOR LOCK: WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* The wireless door lock control system troubleshooting procedures are based on the premise that the power door lock control system is operating normally. Check the power door lock control system first before troubleshooting the wireless door lock control system. Use this procedure to troubleshoot the wireless door lock control system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK

(a) Interview the customer to confirm the problem How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

4. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs.

(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same CAN communication system DTC or wireless door lock control system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
