DESCRIPTION
The security indicator light blinks continuously due to a continuous signal received from the transponder key ECU assembly while in the armed state.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the transponder key ECU assembly is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser / Active Test.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.
Immobiliser
OK:
The security indicator turns on and off according to operation via the Techstream.
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)
OK -- REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the D29 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the D1 combination meter assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
(d) Reconnect the combination meter assembly connector.
(e) Reconnect the transponder key ECU assembly connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the D1 combination meter assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

(c) Reconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
