K41B CVT: CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE SYSTEM: P282B: Pressure Control Solenoid "K" Electrical (Shift Solenoid Valve SLS)
P282B - Pressure Control Solenoid "K" Electrical (Shift Solenoid Valve SLS)

DESCRIPTION

Based on current control by the ECM, the belt clamping pressure liner solenoid SLS controls belt clamping pressure according to the input torque. Also, while the forward and reverse clutch is engaged, or during neutral control, the belt clamping pressure liner solenoid SLS controls the forward and reverse clutch oil pressure.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

These DTCs indicate an open or short in the belt clamping pressure liner solenoid SLS circuit. When there is an open or short circuit in any belt clamping pressure liner solenoid valve circuits, the ECM detects the problem, illuminates the MIL and stores the DTC.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (ECM INPUT SOLENOID RESISTANCE)

(a) Disconnect the ECM connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Text in Illustration

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE ECM P0705

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION P0705

NEXT -- END

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM)

(a) Disconnect the transmission wire connector from the transaxle.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY P0711

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION P0705

NEXT -- END
