Lost Communication with Side Satellite Sensor Bus RH - Airbag System

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: B1642/81: Lost Communication with Side Satellite Sensor Bus RH
B1642/81 - Lost Communication with Side Satellite Sensor Bus RH

DESCRIPTION

The circuit for the side collision sensor RH and rear collision sensor RH (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag RH, curtain shield airbag RH and rear window curtain shield airbag) is composed of the center airbag sensor assembly, side airbag sensor RH (for front side), side airbag sensor RH (for rear side) and rear airbag sensor RH.

The side airbag sensor RH (for front side), side airbag sensor RH (for rear side) and rear airbag sensor RH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.

DTC B1642/81 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the side collision sensor RH and rear collision sensor RH (to determine deployment of the front seat side airbag RH, curtain shield airbag RH and rear window curtain shield airbag).
