Side Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction - Airbag System

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: B1625/22, B1627/82: Side Airbag Sensor LH Circuit Malfunction
B1627/82 - Lost communication with Side Airbag Sensor LH

DESCRIPTION

for DTC B1625/22:

The side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) consists of the safing sensor, the diagnostic circuit, the lateral deceleration sensor, etc.

If the center airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the lateral deceleration sensor, it determines whether the SRS should be activated.

DTC B1625/22 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) circuit.

for DTC B1627/82:

The circuit for the side collision sensor LH (to determine deployment of the curtain shield airbag LH is composed of the center airbag sensor assembly, side airbag sensor LH (for front side) and side airbag sensor LH (for rear side).

The side airbag sensor LH (for front side) and side airbag sensor LH (for rear side) detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbag should be deployed.

DTC B1627/82 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the side collision sensor LH (for rear side) to determine deployment of the curtain shield airbag LH.
