C1433

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1433: Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit
C1433 - Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Signals from the steering sensor (built into spiral cable sub-assembly) are sent to the skid control ECU (built into the brake actuator assembly) through CAN communication.

WIRING DIAGRAM

Refer to DTC C1432 C1432.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

HINT
When any of the speed sensors or the yaw rate and acceleration sensor has trouble, DTCs for the steering angle sensor may be output even when the steering angle sensor is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensors or yaw rate and acceleration sensor are output together with DTCs for the steering angle sensor, inspect and repair the speed sensor and yaw rate and acceleration sensor first, and then inspect and repair the steering angle sensor.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR)

(a) Replace spiral cable sub-assembly Removal.

NOTICE:
* Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.
* When replacing the spiral cable, confirm that the replacement part is of the correct specification.

HINT
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step Problem Symptoms Table.
