DESCRIPTION

If the passenger side manual up/down function does not operate, a malfunction may be present in the power window regulator motor, power window regulator switch, power window regulator master switch or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the power window regulator switch assembly Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH)

(a) Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the D2 power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH





(a) Remove the power window regulator motor assembly RH Removal.

(b) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.

(c) Check that the window regulator motor moves smoothly as follows.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the E1 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the D1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
