REAR SUSPENSION: REAR UPPER ARM: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Temporarily install the rear upper control arm to the rear suspension member and rear axle carrier with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

3. TIGHTEN REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a jack and wooden block, raise the vehicle so that the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH is at the standard vehicle height to apply load to the rear suspension.

(b) Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 nuts of the upper control arm.

Torque : 90 Nm (918 kgf-cm, 66 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Since a stopper nut is used, tighten the bolt.

4. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

5. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
