SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
2. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) Removal
3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH Removal
5. REMOVE JACK ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the jack.
6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH Removal
7. REMOVE FRONT DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
8. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Removal
11. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
(a) When removing the rear airbag sensor RH:
Remove the separate type rear seatback assembly RH Removal.
12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal
13. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH Removal
14. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH
(a) Remove the rear airbag sensor.
(1) Push the connector lock slider (white colored) to release the connector lock and disconnect the sensor connector (yellow colored) from the rear airbag sensor.

NOTICE:
When handling the sensor connector, take care not to damage the sensor wire harness.
(2) Check that the connector lock slider (white colored) is in the unlock position.
(3) Remove the nut.
(4) Detach the guide and remove the rear airbag sensor.
