SEAT BELT: FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

NOTICE:
When removing the front seat assembly RH, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check Programming and Relearning.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Temporarily install the front seat inner belt with the nut.





(b) Attach the 6 wire harness clamps.

(c) Attach the claw to connect the connector to the front seat cushion spring.

(d) Connect the wire harness to the seat slide position sensor protector.





(e) Connect the connector to the seat position airbag sensor.

(f) Tighten the nut.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt to overlap the protruding part of the front seat cushion spring.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Temporarily install the front seat inner belt with the nut.





(b) Attach the wire harness clamp and connect the connector.

(c) Tighten the nut.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat cushion spring.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check of the SRS system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Perform a diagnostic system check of the occupant classification system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

9. CHECK FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Check the seat heater operation.

(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(2) Turn the seat heater switch on.

(3) Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
