SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR (for Front Door): REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH Disassembly

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH Disassembly

4. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH Disassembly

5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) Disassembly

6. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) Disassembly

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Disassembly

8. REMOVE DOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR LH

(a) Remove the door side airbag sensor.





(1) Push the connector lock lever (white colored) to release the connector lock and disconnect the sensor connector (yellow colored) from the door side airbag sensor.

NOTICE:
* Do not push the connector housing part (A) when disconnecting the sensor connector.
* When handling the sensor connector, take care not to damage the sensor wire harness.

(2) Check that the terminal housing is in the unlock position.

(3) Remove the bolt.

(4) Detach the guide and remove the door side airbag sensor.
