SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Connect the airbag connector to the instrument panel passenger airbag actuator.

NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Push in the lock plate to lock the airbag connector.

(c) Connect the 2 airbag connectors to the instrument panel passenger airbag inflator.

When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(d) Push in the 2 lock plates to lock the 2 airbag connectors to install the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the 3 hooks labeled B.

(b) Attach the 3 hooks labeled A to install the instrument panel passenger airbag.

(c) Install the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

5. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
