DESCRIPTION

The turn signal flasher receives a hazard warning signal switch information signal and illuminates the turn signal lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT CLOCK ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH)

(a) Remove the clock assembly (hazard warning switch) Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE CLOCK ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK ASSEMBLY [HAZARD WARNING SWITCH] - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the C16 clock (hazard warning switch) connector.

(b) Disconnect the C19 turn signal flasher connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Exterior Lighting System
