Reassembly

BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER: REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR STRAINER

(a) Install the brake master cylinder reservoir strainer to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

2. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FILLER CAP ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap assembly to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

3. INSTALL BRAKE FLUID INFORMATION LABEL

4. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET

(a) Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to 2 new master cylinder reservoir grommets.

(b) Install the 2 master cylinder reservoir grommets to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

(a) for Manual Transaxle:

When installing a new brake master cylinder reservoir assembly, cut off the clutch tube tip of the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly as shown in the illustration.





Length of clutch tube after cutting:

22 mm (0.866 in.)

NOTICE:
* Do not allow any foreign matter to enter the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.
* Make sure that fluid supply is not hindered after cutting the tube.

(b) Install the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly to the master cylinder body.

(c) Using a pin punch and hammer, install a pin to the brake master cylinder reservoir.
