BRAKE (REAR): REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: INSTALLATION
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The following procedure is for the LH side.
NOTICE:
* Because the left and right rear flexible hoses are not interchangeable, verify the part number when installing the flexible hoses.
* If the hoses are to be reused, connect them after checking the identification marks placed when each hose was removed.
1. INSTALL REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE
(a) Install the rear flexible hose with a new clip.
NOTICE:
Make sure the clip is completely pushed in.
(b) Using a union nut wrench, connect the brake line to the rear flexible hose while holding the rear flexible hose with a wrench.
Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
* Do not kink or damage the brake line.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.
* Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.
(c) Connect the rear flexible hose to the rear axle beam with the bolt.
Torque : 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
(d) Install a new gasket and connect the rear flexible hose to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly with a new union bolt.
Torque : 33 Nm (340 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf)
