Removal





FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER: REMOVAL

1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS

3. REMOVE CENTER ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

6. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER LH Removal

7. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER RH Removal

8. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH Removal

9. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH Removal

10. SECURE STEERING WHEEL

11. REMOVE COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET Removal

12. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

16. DISCONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

17. DISCONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

18. DISCONNECT FRONT NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

19. DISCONNECT FRONT NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

20. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front suspension member reinforcement LH.





21. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

22. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REAR BRACE LH

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and front suspension member rear brace LH.





23. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REAR BRACE RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

24. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts and separate the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly from the rear engine mounting insulator.





(b) Place wooden blocks or plate lift attachments in the positions shown in the illustration and set an engine lifter underneath the crossmember.

NOTICE:
* Place the wooden blocks or plate lift attachments so that the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly is level.
* As the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly is very heavy, be sure to support it securely.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.





25. REMOVE FRONT CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a transmission jack, support the engine assembly with transaxle.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and separate the front crossmember sub-assembly from the engine mounting insulator.





(c) Remove the 4 bolts and front crossmember sub-assembly.





26. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER FRONT BRACE LH Removal

27. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER FRONT BRACE RH Removal

28. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR

(a) Remove the front stabilizer bar with front stabilizer bar bushings from the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.





29. REMOVE STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY Removal

30. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and front No. 1 lower suspension arm sub-assembly LH from the front suspension crossmember.

NOTICE:
Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

31. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
