INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU and steering column assembly have been replaced, perform rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER STEERING MOTOR - POWER
STEERING ECU)
(a) Check the connection condition of the z19 power steering motor connector.
OK:
Power steering motor connector is securely connected and locked to the power steering ECU.

NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR SECURELY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MOTOR VOLTAGE)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(d) Turn the Techstream on.
(e) Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List.
(f) Select the items "Motor Terminal Volt(U)", "Motor Terminal Volt(V)" and "Motor Terminal Volt(W)" in the Data List and read the value displayed on the Techstream.
