C1433
BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1433: Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit
C1433 - Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit
DESCRIPTION
Signals from the steering angle sensor (built into the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly) are sent to the skid control ECU (built into the brake actuator assembly) through CAN communication.
WIRING DIAGRAM
Refer to DTC C1432 C1432.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT
* When DTC U0073, U0123, U0124 and/or U0126 is output together with C1433, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0073, U0123, U0124 and/or U0126 first U0073.
* When any of the speed sensors or the yaw rate and acceleration sensor has trouble, DTCs for the steering angle sensor may be stored even when the steering angle sensor is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensors or the yaw rate and acceleration sensor are output together with DTCs for the steering angle sensor, inspect and repair the speed sensor and the yaw rate and acceleration sensor first, and then inspect and repair the steering angle sensor.
PROCEDURE
1. REPLACE SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR)
(a) Replace the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly Removal.
NOTICE:
* Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly.
* When replacing the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly, confirm that the replacement part is of the correct specification.
HINT
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next suspected area Problem Symptoms Table.
