B1650
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: B1650/32: Occupant Classification System Malfunction
B1650/32 - Occupant Classification System Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The occupant classification system circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and occupant classification ECU.
If the center airbag sensor receives signals from the occupant classification ECU, it determines whether the instrument panel passenger airbag, lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag, front seat airbag RH and front seat outer belt should be operated.
DTC B1650/32 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the occupant classification system circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC (OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU)
(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 10 seconds.
(b) Check for DTCs of the occupant classification ECU Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC is not output.
