B1242 - Wireless Door Lock Tuner Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The door control receiver receives signals from the transmitter and sends these signals to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). This DTC is stored when the applicable RDA signal cannot be received within 1 second of the PRG signal being output from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* When replacing the door control receiver, refer to the registration procedures Registration.

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System).

OK:

DTC B1242 is not output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER - MAIN BODY ECU)

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER - MAIN BODY ECU)

(a) Disconnect the H18 door control receiver connector.

(b) Disconnect the C56 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the H18 door control receiver connector.





(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER

(a) Temporarily replace the door control receiver with a new one Removal.

(b) Perform the registration procedures Registration.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System).

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

7. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Wireless Door Lock Control System (w/o Smart Key System).

OK:

DTC B1242 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal

OK -- END (DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER IS DEFECTIVE)
