Accelerator Pedal: Testing and Inspection

2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ACCELERATOR PEDAL ROD: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch ON and turn the tester ON.

(c) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2.

(d) While the accelerator pedal is depressed and released, check that the values of accelerator position No. 1 and accelerator position No. 2 are within the specifications.

If the results are not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness and ECM.
