U241E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU

(a) Measure the voltage.





HINT
Do not disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.

Standard voltage:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control ECU.

(c) Measure the resistance.

HINT
Do not disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.

Standard resistance:





(d) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control ECU.

2. INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

(a) Measure the resistance between each terminal on the shift lock control unit assembly when the shift lever is moved to each position.





HINT
Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.

Standard resistance:





(b) If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the shift lock control unit.

3. INSPECT SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID

(a) Measure the resistance.





HINT
Disconnect the shift lock solenoid connector.

Standard resistance:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the shift lock control unit.
