SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Occupant Classification ECU, Occupant Classification Sensor): REMOVAL

NOTICE:
* If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected with the ignition switch in the ON position, DTCs will be recorded.
* Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing the parts, replace them with new ones.
* Never reuse an occupant classification sensor if an airbag has previously deployed in a collision.
* Remove the front seat cushion cover pad and front seat cushion cover together, in order to avoid occupant classification sensor malfunctions.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY

CAUTION:
Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER Removal

4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK INNER BRACKET COVER Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH Removal

6. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

(a) Disconnect occupant classification ECU connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the occupant classification ECU.

7. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE Disassembly

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH Disassembly

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH Disassembly

11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER PAD Reassembly

12. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification sensor.

(b) Remove the wiring harness clamp.
