Removal

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and remove the front wheel opening extension pad LH.





3. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MUDGUARD LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and grommets, and remove the front side mudguard LH.





4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.





(b) Remove the 8 clips and 4 screws.





(c) Remove the 3 grommets and remove the front fender liner LH.

HINT
The grommet needs to be replaced with a new one because it will break when it is removed.

5. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER

(a) Remove the 5 clips and remove the radiator cover.





6. REMOVE WATER HOSE CLAMP BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and remove the water hose clamp bracket.

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the hood lock assembly.





(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.





8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.





9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.









(b) Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.
