Canister Purge Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

2AZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: PURGE VALVE: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for EVAP)





(a) Measure the resistance of the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

Standard resistance:





(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

(c) Check the operation of the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.





(1) Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.

(2) Apply battery voltage across terminals.





(3) Check that air flows from port E to port F.

If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.
