WIPER AND WASHER: REAR WIPER MOTOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET





(a) Apply MP grease to the entire surface of the wiper motor grommet lip.
HINT: Make sure that the hole does not get clogged with grease and the grooves on the lip are filled with grease.





(b) Install the rear wiper motor grommet with the mark directed up.





2. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR
(a) Install the rear wiper motor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the connector.
3. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY





(a) Clean any metal powder off the serrated part of the wiper arm with a round wire brush or the equivalent (when reinstalling).
(b) Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.
(c) Operate the wiper, then stop the rear wiper motor in the automatic stop position.





(d) Install the rear wiper arm into the position shown in the illustration with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
HINT: Hold the arm hinge down by hand while tightening the nut.





(e) Close the rear wiper arm head cap.
