WIPER AND WASHER: FRONT WIPER MOTOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front wiper arm caps.
2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Operate the wiper, then stop the wiper motor in the automatic stop position.
(b) Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.
3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
4. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
(a) Disengage the 7 clips and remove the hood to cowl top seal.
5. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Disengage the 4 claws and 4 guides and remove the cowl top ventilator louver RH.
6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH
(a) Remove the clip.
(b) Disengage the 5 claws and 5 guides and remove the cowl top ventilator louver LH.
7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
(a) Disengage the clamp.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Slide the front wiper motor and link. Disengage the link from the rubber pin, then disconnect the connector and remove the front wiper motor and link.
8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the rod of the wiper link assembly from the crank arm pivot of the front wiper motor as shown in the illustration.
(b) Put matchmarks on the crank arm and front wiper motor, as shown in the illustration.
(c) Remove the nut and remove the crank arm.
(d) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the front wiper motor.
