U341E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly from the shift lever.
2. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL Removal
3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX COVER Removal
4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET Removal
5. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX Removal
7. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

(b) Turn the nut and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever retainer.
8. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY
(a) Separate the shift lock control computer connector and indicator light wire sub-assembly connector.
(b) Separate the 2 wire harness clamps from the transmission floor shift assembly.
