BRAKE CONTROL: REAR SPEED SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR
(a) Wipe the sealant off the speed sensor installation surface using non-residue solvent.
NOTICE: Keep the sensor rotor free of foreign matter.





(b) Install the speed sensor onto the rear axle hub in the highest possible installation position.
HINT: The distance between the installation holes should be larger on the upper side than the lower side.





(c) Using SST and a press, install a new speed sensor into the rear axle hub until it is flush with the end surface of the axle hub.
SST: 09214-76011
NOTICE:
- Do not use a hammer when installing.
- Make sure that the sensor probe is free of foreign matter.
- Press the speed sensor in slowly without turning it.

2. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY Installation
3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING Rear Axle Hub
4. CONNECT SPEED SENSOR WIRE Installation
5. INSTALL REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. ADJUST REAR DRUM BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE Installation
7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
8. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

9. CHECK ABS SENSOR SIGNAL (w/o VSC)
