E351 MANUAL TRANSAXLE: TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE Removal
3. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR





(a) Remove the 3 nuts and the No. 1 front floor heat insulator.
5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER LOWER PANEL Removal
7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT Removal
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL Removal
10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the control shift cable from the shift lever assembly.
(b) Disconnect the control select cable from the shift lever assembly.





(c) Turn the adjust nut 180° clockwise. While holding the adjust nut, separate the control cable assembly.





(d) Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the transaxle.
(e) Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the control cable bracket.





(f) Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and the transmission control cable assembly.
