CLUTCH: CLUTCH PEDAL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 PEDAL SPRING HOOK





(a) Install the No. 1 pedal spring hook to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.
2. INSTALL CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the clutch start switch assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the nut.
Torque: 16 Nm (160 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the clutch switch assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the nut.
Torque: 16 Nm (160 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)
4. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS BUSHING





(a) Apply MP grease to the inside of a new clevis bushing.
(b) Install the clevis bushing to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.
HINT: Install the clevis bush from the left side of the vehicle.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION





(a) Using needle-nose pliers, install the 2 No. 1 clutch pedal cushions to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.
6. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL BUSHING





(a) Apply MP grease to both sides of 2 new bushings.
(b) Install the 2 bushings to the clutch pedal.
7. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL PAD
(a) Install the clutch pedal pad to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.
8. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the spring bushing to the clutch pedal.





(b) Install the clutch pedal sub-assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 37 Nm (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)
HINT: Install the bolt from the right side of the vehicle.

9. INSTALL PEDAL WITH HOOK SPRING





(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding portion of the spring.
(b) Install the pedal with hook spring.
10. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING





(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding portion of the spring.
(b) Install the clutch pedal spring holder to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.
(c) Install the clutch pedal spring.
11. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL STOPPER BOLT





(a) Install the clutch pedal stopper bolt so that its end touches the clutch pedal cushion.
HINT: Tighten the lock nut to the specified torque when adjusting the clutch pedal.

12. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the nut to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.





(b) Install the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Bolt - Torque: 24 Nm (241 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)
Nut - Torque: 13 Nm (129 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
13. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS WITH HOLE PIN





(a) Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the hole pin and clevis bush.
(b) Connect the clevis to the clutch pedal sub-assembly with the hole pin.
HINT: Install the hole pin from the right side of the vehicle.

(c) Install the clip to the hole pin.
14. CONNECT CONNECTORS
(a) Connect the clutch start switch connector and clutch switch connector.
15. INSTALL MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
(a) Install the main body ECU with the 2 screws.
16. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

18. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

19. INSPECT CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY On-Vehicle Inspection
