Reassembly

Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly. However, special points concerning installation are indicated below.

1. Install the front seat.

Refer to TIS applicable model year Scion xB Repair Manual:

2008 / 2009 / 2010 Scion xB:

2. Install the headliner.





A. Pull the roof headliner back into the vehicle through the back door.





B. Install the 5 clips.

C. Install the bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 7.0 N*m (71 kgf*cm, 62 in*lbf)





D. Connect the 2 connectors.





E. Engage the 5 clamps.

F. Connect the roof wire to the harness clamp.

G. Connect the roof wire connector.





H. Engage the 4 clamps.

I. Connect the antenna cord connector.





3. Install the front seat outer belt assembly RH and LH through the anchor with the bolt.

Torque: 41 N*m (420 kgf*cm, 30 ft*lbf)





4. Install the rear seat outer belt assembly RH and LH.

A. Install the floor anchor with the bolt.

Torque: 41 N*m (420 kgf*cm, 30 ft*lbf)

B. Install the belt into the rear seat shoulder belt hanger.





5. Install the rear seat back hinge with the bolt. Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft*lbf)

Use the same procedure for both sides.





6. Install the 2 luggage hold belt strikers with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft*lbf)

Use the same procedure for both sides.





7. Install the rear seatback assembly RH.

A. Insert the 2 hooks into the rear seatback frame hole and install the rear seatback tightening the 2 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft*lbf)

B. Pull up the rear seatback.

C. Install the rear center seat outer belt into the rear center seat shoulder belt guide.





8. Install the rear seatback assembly LH.

A. Insert the 2 hooks into the rear seatback frame hole and install the rear seatback tightening the 2 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft*lbf)

B. Pull up the rear seatback.





C. Install the rear center seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 41 N*m (420 kgf*cm, 30 ft*lbf)

9. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in*lbf)

10. Confirm there are NO codes present in the SRS system.

11. Initialize the front passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS). Refer to TIS applicable model year Scion xB Repair Manual:
