Disassembly - Part 2

28. Remove the room light assembly.





A. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light lens.





B. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 room light covers.





C. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light.





D. Remove the roof wire from the claw on the room light.

E. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 4 claws and remove the room light switch base.

29. Remove the map light assembly.





A. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 4 claws and remove the map light.





B. Disconnect the map light connector.





30. Remove the instrument cluster finish center panel sub-assembly by disengaging the 4 clips and 3 claws.





31. Remove the instrument cluster finish lower panel by disengaging the 2 clips.





32. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly by disengaging the 6 clips and 10 claws.

33. Remove the combination meter assembly.





A. Remove the 4 screws and the combination meter.





B. Separate the wire harness.

C. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

34. Remove the glove compartment door assembly.





A. Disengage the claw and disconnect the glove compartment door stopper.

B. Slightly flex the upper part of the glove compartment door to release the 2 stoppers and open the glove compartment door until it becomes horizontal.





C. Pull the glove compartment door out horizontally to disengage the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door.

NOTICE
Pull the glove compartment door out horizontally, otherwise, installation failure caused by excessive play around the hinge will result.

35. Remove the upper instrument panel sub-assembly.





A. Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.

B. Using a plastic pry tool remove the airbag connector.





C. Remove the bolt and 3 screws.





D. Disengage the 2 clips and 4 claws by lifting the rear side of the upper instrument panel up.

E. While lifting the upper instrument panel slide it toward the rear of the vehicle. Disengage the 5 claws from the front side of the upper instrument panel and remove the upper instrument panel.

36. Remove the roof headliner.

A. Disconnect the antenna cord connector.





B. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 4 clamps.





C. Disconnect the roof wire connector.

D. Disconnect the roof wire from the harness clamp.

E. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 5 clamps.





F. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

G. Remove the bolt and bracket.





H. Using a plastic pry tool remove the 5 clips.





I. Remove the roof headliner from the back door.

NOTE
Steps 37 - 40 are for replacing the floor wire harness on the driver side. If replacing floor wire harness No.2 on the passenger side, skip to step 41.

37. Remove the front seat assembly LH.

38. Remove the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.





A. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate and acceleration sensor bracket.





B. Disconnect the yaw rate and acceleration sensor connector.

NOTICE
Do NOT remove the installation nuts.

39. Remove the rear seat cushion leg assembly.





A. Remove the rear seat cushion under cover.

B. Remove the 2 rear seat cushion side covers.





C. Remove the 5 bolts and remove the rear seat cushion leg sub-assembly.

40. Remove the fuel pump access cover.





A. Remove the rear floor service hole cover.

B. Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump assembly.

NOTE
Step 41 is for replacing floor wire harness No.2 on the passenger side ONLY.

41. Remove the front seat assembly RH.

42. Remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly
(for manual transaxle).

Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob.

43. Remove the instrument cluster finish center lower panel.





A. Disengage the 2 clips and 4 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish center lower panel.

B. Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector.





44. Remove the front No.2 console box insert by disengaging the 3 claws and guide.





45. Remove the front No. 1 console box insert by disengaging the 3 claws and guide.

46. Remove the instrument panel finish lower panel (for manual transaxle).





A. Remove the 2 screws.





B. Disengage the 6 clips and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel.

47. Remove the instrument panel finish lower panel (for automatic transaxle).





A. Remove the 4 screws.





B. Disengage the 6 clips and remove the instrument panel finish lower panel.





48. Replace the floor wire harness.
