SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
NOTICE:
- If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected with the ignition switch in the ON position, DTCs will be recorded.
- Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing the parts, replace them with new ones.
- Never reuse an occupant classification ECU if an airbag has previously deployed in a collision.
- Remove the front seat cushion cover pad and front seat cushion cover together, in order to avoid occupant classification sensor malfunctions.

1. READ IN OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU DATA Registration
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER Removal
5. REMOVE SEAT TRACK INNER BRACKET COVER Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH Removal
7. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU





(a) Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification ECU.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and occupant classification ECU.
