Applicability

Introduction

Some 2008-2009 model year xB vehicles may exhibit a M.I.L. "ON" condition with Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0351 P0352, P0353 and/or P0354 (Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit) stored in the Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Power Control Module/PCM). The ignition coil assembly has been improved to address this condition. Use the following repair procedure to address customer concerns.

In some cases, a DTC P2237 (Oxygen (A/F) Sensor Pumping Current Circuit/Open) may also set. Perform the repair procedure in this bulletin first; the ignition coil may be the cause of DTC P2237.
