2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 nuts and engine cover.
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE





(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
(b) Separate the wire harness.





(c) Separate the No. 1 vacuum switching valve.





(d) Disconnect the ventilation hose.
(e) Separate the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.





(f) Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, unlock the air cleaner assembly clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 1 air cleaner hose.
(g) Remove the air cleaner filter element.
4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.





(b) Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose.





(c) Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose.





(d) Disconnect the connector.





(e) Disconnect the throttle hose.





(f) Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the fuel pipe support and throttle body assembly.





(g) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
