Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

METER: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the tester on.
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Trouble Codes.
(d) Check for DTCs and then write them down.
HINT: Refer to the tester operator's manual for further details.

(e) Confirm the details of the DTCs Meter / Gauge System.
2. CLEAR DTC
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG) (do not start the engine) and turn the tester on.
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / (desired system) / Trouble Codes.

(d) Erase DTCs by pressing the YES button on the tester.
