2AZ-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
2. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH Removal
3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Removal
5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
6. REMOVE BATTERY





(a) Separate the negative and positive battery terminals.





(b) Remove the bolt and loosen the nut, and remove the battery carrier.
(c) Remove the battery insulator and battery.





(d) Remove the battery tray.
7. SEPARATE NO. 1 WATER HOSE CLAMP BRACKET





(a) Disconnect the 2 water hoses.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and separate the No. 1 water hose clamp bracket.
8. SEPARATE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY





(a) Separate the hood lock control cable from the hood lock, as shown in the illustration.
(b) Disengage the clamp and separate the hood lock control cable.
9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the 2 hone connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock support.
10. DISCONNECT INLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Disengage the heated oxygen sensor wire harness clamp.
(b) Disconnect the inlet radiator hose.
11. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Disconnect the outlet radiator hose as shown in the illustration.
12. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION





(a) Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the No. 2 fan shroud.
13. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD





(a) Disconnect the 2 fan motor connectors.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 fan shroud.
14. SEPARATE DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
15. SEPARATE AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY Removal
16. REMOVE CONDENSER Removal
17. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE





(a) Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the radiator.
18. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses from the radiator. (for Automatic Transaxle)
(b) Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
19. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT
(a) Remove the 2 lower radiator supports.
20. REMOVE INLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Separate the hose clamp from the fan shroud.
(b) Remove the inlet radiator hose from the radiator.
21. REMOVE OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE





(a) Remove the outlet radiator hose from the radiator.
22. REMOVE FAN SHROUD





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and fan shroud from the radiator.
