The main body ECU detects the condition of the back door opener switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the "Data List".

Main Body:





OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY




(a) Remove the back door opener switch assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





(c) Reinstall the back door opener switch assembly Installation.
NG -- REPLACE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)




(a) Disconnect the C45 main body ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





(c) Reconnect the main body ECU connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)




(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
